The Milan Design Week 2024, in which Materica will be one of the major players, is just a few days away. From 15 to 21 April, the Lombard capital will in fact be the centre of European and world design, with numerous events where craftsmanship, creativity and aesthetics will play the leading role. And Materica will be present at two of them: Design Variations by MoscaPartners and Aqua by Archiproducts Milano.

Design Variations 2024

The Milan Design Week 2024 event signed by MoscaPartners comes to life in a unique location: it is a former garage from the 1940s, which is part of a building designed by Marco Zanuso and is a large space on two levels with a structure inspired by the pioneering architecture of Pier Luigi Nervi. Right here, Materica will present “Superfici VeniceCollection “, its first and revolutionary collection of boiserie, curated by Tiziano Guardini and Luigi Ciuffreda. We are talking about precious surfaces – one of them using the fine velvets of Bevilacqua, a historic Venetian company – like works of art that envelop spaces and create worlds that are always different, surfaces enriched by the contribution of designers with a strong character and diversified artistic visions who have created five signature collections, the result of an interpretation that is unique each time, created in synergy with Materica’s alchemic know-how: Matteo Cibic, Serena Confalonieri, DRAW Studio, Antonio Pio Saracino, Studio Guardini-Ciuffreda and Storage Milano. It is a collection in which the full aesthetic potential of Materica can be admired, with the art of wire metallisation combining with oxidation, pigmentations and laser work, resulting in vibrant, organic and iridescent textures that tell stories of exclusive refinement.

Aqua

Aqua is a realm in which tranquillity and vitality converge. A new immersive project, in which water becomes an inspiring principle and an idea of Design. Just as water changes continuously, depending on the light and the container, so the new Archiproducts Milano experience evokes the fluidity of life itself. Between colours and transparencies, Aqua is a harmonious blend of form and function, where reflective surfaces and plays of light transform and renew spaces. An exploration of interior design in which the furnishings are perfectly integrated with shapes and materials inspired by the aquatic element. And, also within the framework of the Milan Design Week 2024, Materica will be present here together with StudioPepe with some works of strong quality, works born from metallisation and capable of dialoguing with space and giving it new value.
