LINEAPELLE is the most important international exhibition dedicated to the sectors of leather, accessories, components, synthetic, fabrics and models for footwear, leather goods, clothing and furnishings. The exhibition system represented by Lineapelle and its related shows is hinged on the primacy of (Italian) companies, bearers of style, quality, and customer service.

At the event, which will be held at Milano Rho Fiera from Feb. 25 to 27, Materica will be present with a work created in collaboration with Maurizio Molini, an architect leading Studio Molini.

Through a process of casting pure metal wires, projected in the form of micronized particles, Materica wraps any surface with a metal film, cloaking it with a new identity. In the Kumihimo screen, Pro-Fit’s hand-woven rope stretched over a wooden frame is transformed into rigid, shiny material. The result is an unexpected object, alternating in modularity, harmonious in geometry: the result of technological innovation and the search for overall balance.

Architect@Work Paris 2024 is a renowned event that brings together architects and industry professionals, offering an exceptional platform to showcase the latest innovations and current trends in the field of architecture. Architect@Work Paris 2024 will be held in Paris at the Grande Halle de la Villette from October 23-24.

MoscaPartners chooses an industrial space to launch the fourth edition of Design Variations. It is on the Darsena, in the heart of modern Milan, that MoscaPartners’ selections for the Milan Design Week 2024 will be located. The exhibition design has been entrusted to Park Associati, while artist and designer Nathalie Du Pasquier has imagined a special site-specific project entitled Corridor. Inside the garage, many different brands and designer works will be on display, including Superfici Venice Collection by Materica.

Aqua is a realm where tranquility and vitality meet. A new immersive project where water becomes an inspiring principle and a design concept. Just as water constantly changes depending on the light and container, the new Archiproducts Milano experience evokes the fluidity of life itself. Between colors and transparencies, Aqua is a harmonious blend of form and function, where reflective surfaces and plays of light transform and renew spaces. An exploration of interior design where furniture seamlessly integrates with forms and materials inspired by the aquatic element.

The first edition of the Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano (the High-end Italian Craftsmanship Fair) is coming to Venice, a unique event celebrating Italian art and craftsmanship in the heart of the lagoon, the cradle of ancient crafts and expertise that has been handed down over the centuries. The first edition is scheduled from September 28 to October 1 in the atmospheric Arsenale di Venezia, a prestigious location that will be the setting for the works of art exhibited by master craftsmen from all over Italy, including Materica, which will present a project inspired by the greatness of Venice.

Materica will be at Milan Design Week 2023 for the presentation of a series of unique works.

Matter transforms giving life to a chamber of mirrors. An installation that encourages reflection, self-reflection and listening. A place outside of space and time, inhabited by an image that comes from afar to communicate with our inner selves.  An immersive experience created by Materica for surprising aesthetic effects with designers Tiziano Guardini and Luigi Ciuffreda. On stage at Alcova from April 17 to 23, 2023, a space formerly occupied by an abattoir, on Via Molise 62 in Milan. 

THE VITRUVIAN EGG

Esprit Magicien is HoperAperta’s signature exposition inside which is the Egg of Vitruvius, the brainchild of Armando Bruno and Alberto Torres, Ceo and designer of the Marco Piva studio, respectively, and created by Materica. And if the Cosmic Egg depicts an evocative symbol of the primordial seed from which the entire creation began, the Vitruvian Egg reproduces a biological big bang that gives rise to a utopian and ideal being, endowed with the attributes necessary to ensure its survival in the imminent future while reflecting in itself the fundamental components of the natural macrocosm.

Mystery/Mastery by Matteo Cibic
Xacus Brera Store (Via Solferino 8)
A symbolic and monumental interpretation of the shirt object interpreted by designer and architect Matteo Cibic. A thrilling tale of “Know-How,” mastery guarded and handed down by the Xacus company for generations, which is expressed in the details and flavor of each shirt. The work made with a luxury metal finishing by Materica is displayed inside the Xacus flagship store, a space of contemporary elegance designed by Architect Matias Sagaria.

Materica will be at Spa Theatre exhibition, curated by designer Simone Micheli, at the forthcoming SIA Hospitality Design, the only trade fair in Italy dedicated exclusively to hospitality and new hospitality concepts, that will be held at the Rimini Exhibition Centre from Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 October.

You will therefore have the opportunity to discover our workmanship, or rather how Materica is able to transform matter by creating emotion. And in this case, it has done so by transforming polystyrene into metal, processing the unique objects designed by Simone Micheli.

From 7 to 12 June, we were protagonists of the Milan Design Week – Fuorisalone. Three locations, for a series of projects in collaboration with international design brands.

In Via Panfilo Castaldi 33, ‘ANTIMETA A-typical chair‘. A project by the architecture studio StorageMilano and the historic brand Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, made unique by our workmanship.

At Via Montenapoleone 8, ‘New Material Collection’. A shared space with Domenico Cugliari’s design, where you can admire our proposals and their application.

At Via Sant’Andrea 8, two works embellished with our signature. ‘HoperAperta – La superficie assoluta’ by designer Luigi Ciuffreda and the installation of a precious kimono, reworked by Tiziano Guardini, the stylist of nature.

Materica was among the exhibitors at ARCHITECT@WORK 2021, an event held at MiCo in Milan dedicated to all those who work in the world of architecture, a world always in search of innovation, fascination and sustainability. For Materica, ARCHITECT@WORK 2021 turned out to be an exceptional opportunity for discussion and networking, which allowed us to introduce numerous insiders to the history, the identity and the works of our company, in particular our core business: metallization.
