The year 2022 has been a demanding, challenging, exciting one for Materica… Perhaps, thinking back, we could say that it was the year of the consecration of the technique on which we have focused all our energies for years: metallization. Finally, in these magical months, we have begun to reap the fruits of years and years of research, tests, experiments, mistakes, remakes, fairs and events. All aimed at making the whole world aware of a unique, innovative, powerful and fascinating technique: to date the only process on the market capable of transforming matter.

Yes, that’s right: from a wooden boiserie to a polystyrene resin statue passing through a precious fabric, Materica transforms matter thanks to its precious metals, giving it a different essence and an enchanting touch of new light. From the Fuorisalone in Milan, Rome and Barcelona to Beijing and Hong Kong, our creations, the result of stimulating collaborations with prestigious designers and architects, have travelled the world, intriguing and fascinating a large audience of professionals. Looking at these results, perhaps the market was just waiting for something truly new and an original story to tell. Our story. And no, it’s not self-congratulation, believe me, it’s just pure, unadulterated enthusiasm for having succeeded in realizing with enormous effort, a great deal of stubbornness and dedication something that still amazes and excites even us today. 

But this is only the beginning… 

2022 will remain the year of the ‘finished product’, with more and more customers, especially from abroad, commissioning us not just for the metal cladding, but for the realization and engineering of their works. While these challenges have put us to the test, they have also ‘forced’ us to grow, forging fruitful partnerships with the best craft/industrial excellences in Veneto and Italy. All with one great aim: to best realize the often unique requests of our customers. 

This year, however, has come to an end, but as always we look ahead. For Materica in 2023 there will certainly be the consolidation of our production structure, which will continue and strengthen the production of the finished product with a careful and unavoidable eye on eco-sustainability. In this sense, we have also started drafting Materica’s manifesto for sustainability and a better world, which we will present in 2023. The road is traced, the direction is clear, many new challenges await us… Stay tuned!
