At Milan Design Week 2026, Materica collaborated with STORAGEMILANO on the project Frammenti di un discorso amoroso, which reinterprets the screen as an ever-evolving architectural element.

In this context, Materica’s metallisation of natural jute takes shape thanks to Molecular Metal Weaving (MMW): a proprietary technology, developed over more than 40 years of experience and research, which is unique on the market. Using metallic microparticles, Materica is able to ‘weave’ the material at a molecular level, transforming every surface whilst retaining its original weave.

The result is a living surface that reflects light and redefines space. A new way of conceiving materials. A screen that changes every day. A space that transforms. A material that comes to life.
